Humanity is connected to the moon in such an important and special way, and I love exploring the details of the Moon's surface structures in the high resolution images.
My favorite thing about astronomy is how it connects people. Very few things can unite all of humanity the way the space does. When Neil Armstrong stepped out onto the moons surface and sent back to Earth those now very famous words, this human unification through space was more clear than ever.
Even now, you can go anywhere in the World and ask people "Did "We" ever land on the Moon", and people will tell you yes. Nobody says, "No, the Americans did", or "No, Neil and Buzz" did. They always say "we did". It was a success for all of humanity, and one that rightly belongs to all of Humanity.
Some tasks are so grand, they require every ounce of human capacity, courage and knowledge in order to be achievable, and space is where you find those tasks.
