Every story ever told throughout all of human history, going as far back as your mind can carry you, was limited in scale to the known stars, planets, and moon. Obsessive as we were about the stars, developing entire cultures around the stories we told about them, we were still limited in our understanding of what they were.
That all changed in 1924, when Edwin Hubble discovered the first galaxy outside of our own. In that single moment, we realize how vast and magnificent the Universe really is, eclipsing even 6000 years of human civilization's capacity for imagination. Quite possibly the single most important lesson ever learned was that the boundaries placed on humanity were never constructs of the Universe, but instead humanity itself.
That first galaxy, the one that changed our understanding forever and redefined the world "Everything". That galaxy was Andromeda, and I hope these prints of her serve as a reminder of the limitless potential for our future.
