The first Full Moon of December is known as the Cold Moon, named for when the winter cold sets in and the nights become long and dark.
This Cold Moon was no exception. When I went out to shoot, it was definitely cold out. The winter nights in the UK were frigid, but a bit of sky opened up for the final full Moon of the year.
I walked through the snow with less than ideal clothing, waited for the Moon to rise, and captured the big, beautiful Moon hanging low in the sky.
